Madison County has grown by over 1,400 people since 2010. With our proximity to the expanding Des Moines metro, these new facilities will allow for growth if needed.
Creating an Enhanced Experience

The two-barn concept will house all species under two roofs, creating an environment that enhances animal welfare while on the grounds.

Our fair has a vibrant energy throughout the main walkway. This open-concept building will enhance the atmosphere by providing easy access to livestock stalling, creating a more engaging and seamless experience for both visitors and exhibitors.

Accommodating Current Exhibitors

Our outdated livestock barns have been stretched to their limits. Our barns are beyond capacity for some species and others have little to no room for growth. Investing in new buildings will give us some space to comfortably house today's animals, and set up our fairgrounds for growth in the future.

Improved larger show rings will give youth exhibitors the space and environment they need to truly shine, while also improving the viewing experience for fairgoers.
